About the Board

Mary Ellin Arch (Secretary-Treasurer) is a former journalist who worked for The Associated Press, the Richmond Times-Dispatch, and Gannett Co. Inc. She holds a master’s degree in strategic public relations from Virginia Commonwealth University and worked for 10 years in corporate PR. Since 2018, she has owned and managed P46 Communications LLC, offering strategic PR and media relations. She is also the editor of Midlothian Lifestyle magazine. Mary Ellin is a member of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church

Carla J. Davis is a writer and editor with communications experience in the corporate, nonprofit and higher education sectors. She has served as communications director at Bethesda-based advocacy organization Alley Cat Allies, editorial director for Utah-based animal welfare organization Best Friends Animal Society, and a writer and editor for local and national publishing companies including Media General, Active Interest Media and Target Communications. In her current role at Virginia Commonwealth University, she writes, edits and conceptualizes strategic marketing and admissions materials. She is a lifelong Episcopalian.

Walter Graham is retired but continues to be an active member of the Virginia Bar. He has served on several not-for-profit boards and was CEO of a large, national not-for-profit corporation headquartered in Richmond for 17 years before retiring. He is a member of Bon Air United Methodist Church.

Campbell Pendleton is a professional insurance agent, affiliated with Client First Insurance Group. He is a parishioner at the Church of the Epiphany, past president of Brandermill Rotary, long-time member of the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce and serves on several boards of local charities. His philosophy is taken from Monty Python The Life of Brian – “Always look on the bright side of life!”
